Inventor Matthew Michel, 2nd
Best of Show Award, New Products
Global Pet Expo in 2011
"Stress is a Serious Health Issue for Dogs and Cats..."
says Matthew Michel, inventor and owner of Scaredy Cut.
In 2009 Matthew approached Metal Products Engineering for
assistance in developing and manufacturing a comb
attachment method for a grooming tool that eliminated
the anxiety to pets caused by electric clippers.
The tool received a U.S. patent in 2009 and won
2nd place "Best in Show" at the 2011 Global
Pet Expo. The Scaredy Cut Kit has been
warmly received by conscientious animal
lovers around the world.
The product has been so successful
at its intended purpose that it has recently been
rebranded as the "Calming Clippers" and is also now being
used to cut human hair for individuals with "sensory
sensitivities." Metal Products Engineering is proud to be
part of the development, design and manufacturing of
such a successful and innovative product.
